The most important thing about teaching is affecting lives. Teaching more than mere music—in fact, forming the life skills that will carry students throughout their careers, whatever they may be in the years to come. Below is a sampling of the feedback that I have been blessed to receive from students and parents. I hope that this provides an accurate reflection of my focus in teaching.

I came to Tatyana in 2001 as an advanced pianist, having studied with Erna Gulabyan, an internationally renowned pianist from the Conservatory of Music of San Francisco.

I was particular about finding a musician and pianist who could further refine and enhance my technique and ability to perform. Tatyana introduced me to Czerny?s School of Velocity for which she assigned new Etudes every week and within a year I literally was able to perform almost all the Etudes from memory. Thereafter, she guided me through the advanced works of Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, and Rachmaninoff to name a few.

Tatyana has guided me to providing critical input in the structures and performances of my own compositions. She has played an important role in my accomplishments with winning in the Music Teachers Association of California—Composers Today Adult Division, first and second place consistently since 2002 to present.

I also am a teacher but have no hesitation of trusting Tatyana for my own daughter?s piano lessons.
